About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Structural Engineer with at least 3 years of post-graduate experience to join our clients’ dynamic team in High Wycombe. The ideal candidate will hold a Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and have hands-on experience with Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and MasterSeries software. The role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your career and contribute to exciting and innovative projects within a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct structural engineering analysis, design, and detailing for a range of projects using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Masterseries.
2. Collaborate with senior engineers and project teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
3. Assist with the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
4. Contribute to the creation of 3D models and BIM deliverables, ensuring they meet project specifications and standards.
5. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
6. Ensure that designs and solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
7. Support the integration of AutoCAD and Revit in project designs and BIM workflows.
8. Continuously enhance technical knowledge and skills through ongoing professional development.
Key Requirements:
9. A Masters’ degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
10. At least 3 years of post-graduate experience working in a structural engineering role.
11. Proficiency in using Tekla Tedds, Tekla Structural Designer, and Masterseries for structural design and analysis.
12. Strong understanding of engineering principles, building codes, and regulations.
13. Knowledge of Building Information Modelling (BIM) and its application in structural engineering projects.
14. Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit for creating and modifying design drawings and models.
15. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
16. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
17. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
18. A keen interest in professional development and staying updated with industry trends.
Desirable Skills:
19. Experience in the use of BIM for structural coordination and collaboration.
20. Previous experience in multidisciplinary project environments.
21. Knowledge of additional software or tools used in structural or civil engineering design would be a plus.
