We're now looking for a confident, organised Business Development & Bookings Coordinator to join us in our Torquay office and play a vital role in helping us reach even more organisations that need our support.
This is a proactive commercial role. You'll be the first point of contact for many of our clients being the person who starts meaningful conversations and turns interest into confirmed training that helps people go home safer every day.
Location & Working Pattern
This role is primarily office-based in Torquay as close team working and in person support are essential for success.
The role is available full-time or part-time (minimum 24 hours per week if part-time). Part-time hours are typically spread across four days.
Our most productive customer conversations take place between 09:00 and 15:00 ish, so availability during these core hours is essential.
The Role
You will be responsible for generating and securing training bookings from new and existing organisations, while maintaining accurate customer records and supporting smooth delivery.
You will:
* Proactively contact new organisations by phone and email
* Follow up enquiries and opportunities consistently
* Hold professional, friendly conversations about training needs
* Convert interest into confirmed bookings
* Build and manage your own booking pipeline
* Maintain accurate CRM records (we use Salesforce)
* Ensure client data integrity and booking accuracy
* Prepare basic reports on booking activity and pipeline progress
* Work closely with admin, trainers, and marketing to support growth
* Maintain strong relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat bookings
* Represent Essential 6 with warmth, confidence, and professionalism
You'll work towards a clear expectation of approximately 10 confirmed courses per week, achieved through proactive outreach, consistent follow up, and development of your own client pipeline.

* Training, compliance, care, education, or regulated sectors
You must be comfortable with regular phone-based outreach and working towards weekly targets.
Salary & Benefits
* £26,000–£32,000 FTE (40 hours), paid pro rata for part-time hours

For example: 24 hours per week equates to approximately £15,600–£19,200 per annum, depending on experience.
