You will be responsible for pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence, advanced analytics, and next-generation biomanufacturing technologies for biologics development, Quality Systems and commercial manufacturing. This role will lead or contribute to the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML and digital solutions. The position bridges wet-lab, process development, and computational workflows, ensuring robust governance, compliance, and measurable impact on speed, quality, and efficiency. Leveraging AI/ML, Process Analytical Technologies (PAT), and automation systems for setting new standards for predictive biomanufacturing and digitalized operations in a regulated environment. * Building and deploying predictive and generative ML models for biologics manufacturing, Quality Systems, Quality monitoring, and decision-support systems.
* Driving the adoption of AI/ML across continuous biomanufacturing platforms, PAT, and high-throughput automation systems.
* Integrating computational models with wet-lab and process operations to enable adaptive and data-driven manufacturing.
* Developing, optimizing, and managing pipelines for large-scale biological, chemical, and process datasets.
* Driving the adoption of FAIR data principles and best practices in data governance.
* Evaluating and implementing process automation systems with online trend analysis to improve manufacturing robustness.
* Serving as a technical lead in evaluating novel laboratory hardware and software that enhance biologics manufacturing capabilities.
* Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (wet-lab scientists, engineers, data scientists, QA/RA teams, GMP Manufacturing and commercial units).
* Staying at the forefront of AI, ML, and digital health trends and integrate them into strategic roadmaps for biomanufacturing innovation.
Preferred Candidate Background and Expertise:
* BS, MS or Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Computational Biology, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences field.
* 5+ years in biotechnology, biopharmaceutical R&D, or data science with a focus on AI/ML applications in biologics manufacturing or QA applications.
* Proficiency in Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and modern ML Ops frameworks.
* Familiarity with biologics and process development (protein sequences, assays, upstream/downstream operations, PAT, continuous processing).
* Expertise in deploying AI/ML solutions within regulated environments (GxP, GMLP, GDPR, HIPAA).
* Strong communication skills with ability to translate technical concepts into actionable business and operational insights.
