Specific Responsibilities: Support the work of BMS staff working within the laboratory. Provide guidance, support and training of HSSW staff. Work at all times according to departmental Standard Operating Procedures. Process a range of clinical samples for testing, running automated tests on laboratory analysers, interpretation and recording of results on data sheets for BMS authorisation.
Process manual and automated tests, inclusive of Serology and Molecular platforms. Participate in PCR analysis within containment level 3 section, providing support network for BMS. Assist with verifications of automated analysers, including evaluation of data analysis. Enter test results on to the Laboratory information system.
Perform daily, weekly and monthly maintenance on all analytical equipment within the laboratory, as well as minimal trouble-shooting when required. Manage equipment error logs and record of files on Q-Pulse. Please see attached job description for further information.
