Are you passionate about driving sustainable growth and making a tangible impact on local communities? Join our team as an Economic Growth Delivery Manager (Regeneration Projects) and lead transformative, sustainable regeneration projects across Essex.
About the Role: As the Economic Growth Delivery Manager (Regeneration Projects), you will oversee a portfolio of multi-million-pound regeneration projects in priority areas across Essex. You will manage a high-performing team, ensuring effective project development and delivery through client-side commissioning oversight and robust programme management. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering collaborative relationships with partners and internal teams to ensure successful outcomes. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Developing detailed regeneration project proposals in collaboration with relevant council teams and local partners.
2. Ensuring effective delivery of projects through client-side commissioning, oversight, and programme management.
3. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external partners for collaborative delivery.
4. Supporting the development of business cases and internal governance processes.
5. Managing strategic risks and issues, ensuring projects meet regeneration outcomes within time, cost, and quality standards.
6. Tracking progress, prioritising resources, and reporting to the Regeneration Programme Board to ensure strategic alignment.
7. Assessing scheme viability to achieve effective project outcomes.
8. Developing tools to analyse the effectiveness of interventions in places.
Skills and Experience:
* Educated to degree level or equivalent with evidence of ongoing professional development and knowledge in place regeneration.
* Strong experience in programme and project management.
* Experience in capital project delivery, preferably in regeneration.
* Proven ability to develop business cases, viability assessments, and urban regeneration strategies.
* Experience in place-based working, building influential internal and external partnerships.
* Effective problem-solving and negotiation skills.
* Ability to interpret and analyse data to inform decision-making.
* Proven leadership skills supporting a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
