Role and responsibilities:
A high-impact individual contributor role at the heart of our client's engineering function. The successful candidate will ship high-quality code across the full stack while acting as the internal expert on how AI and automation can safely accelerate the way the team builds software.
* Deliver clean, maintainable code across the full stack
* Identify bottlenecks and implement AI-supported workflows to improve delivery velocity
* Champion AI-assisted development tools — evaluating their benefits and being clear-eyed about the risks (security, hallucinations, maintainability)
* Collaborate with Product and Leadership to translate commercial goals into technically sound plans
* Provide technical leadership on the most complex architectural and performance challenges
Job requirements:
* Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Java/Kotlin, NestJS or React, and PostgreSQL or MongoDB
* Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, Terraform, and modern CI/CD pipelines
* A practical, nuanced understanding of AI coding tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Cursor) - how to use them effectively and where the risks lie
* Demonstrable and systematic usage of Agentic AI in the SDLC is a must.
* A track record of improving both quality and velocity of delivery in a fast-paced environment
* Ability to connect technical decisions to business outcomes, particularly in regulated environments
