Science Technician
Currie Community High School
Salary: £28,046 - £32,010 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: 14 per week, 39 weeks sessional
Flexibility: The set working pattern for this post will be agreed between the successful candidate and the school. Any proposal of working hours will be considered, provided they are during (or have overlap with) the school hours of 8:30-15:30 (12:15 on Fridays).

Currie Community High School is situated to the south west of the City of Edinburgh and serves the communities of Currie, Riccarton, Juniper Green, and Baberton Mains. The school has served the local community for approximately 350 years. It enjoys excellent links with the local community and offers a quality community programme. The school's SQA results are above both local and national averages, and it provides a wide range of achievement opportunities.

Role Overview
We seek a part-time Science Technician to join our team, working alongside a full-time technician in a busy science department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate positivity, initiative, flexibility, and proactive collaboration to enhance our students' learning experiences.

Requirements
This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate must join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent over 3 months outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check is required. Employment is contingent upon satisfactory completion of these checks.
