Teaching Assistant – Early Years
35 hours per week – Monday-Friday. Term Time Only (39 weeks) 8:30am-4:00pm (30 minutes unpaid lunch break)
To start asap - Permanent contract
The Headteacher and Governing Body at Moat House Primary School are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, reliable, caring and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and dedicated team, working within our Early Years setting.
The successful candidate will be a committed, team player with experience of working in a Nursery or Reception class. You will support the class teacher and children in all areas of school life and respond positively to the daily challenges you may face. You should have good literacy and numeracy skills and a good level of knowledge and experience of working with children with a range of special educational needs. The role will also involve supervising children outside of lesson times, i.e. over lunch time.
Who are we looking for?
1. An experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant (minimum of NVQ Level 3)
2. Understands the Early Years curriculum and early childhood development
3. A relevant First Aid qualification or be willing to undertake Paediatric First Aid training
4. A friendly and kind team member, who is supportive and happy to work as part of a team
5. An excellent role model to children, colleagues and parents to establish positive relationships
6. Flexible and forward thinking and willing to “go the extra mile”
