Posted: 27 August
Offer description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Grants, Delivery & Impact Officer to join the Bright Northumbria Charity Team.

This role will support the development of Bright Charity's funds, grant processes, liaising and coordinating with departments, managing projects (such as volunteer services and environmental refurbishments), and measuring and demonstrating the impact of charitable activities.

Bright Northumbria charity, launched in 2012, has established a strong presence within our communities across the region. The charity funds initiatives that the NHS does not, including improved facilities for patients and their families, and support for staff to provide the best care possible.

Examples of how Bright makes a difference include:

* Enhancing the patient experience through additional therapies, services, and comforts
* Supporting staff health and wellbeing
* Developing dedicated areas for relaxation away from clinical environments
* Providing state-of-the-art medical equipment
* Investing in staff training and research to improve treatments and care
* Supporting community projects aimed at improving health and wellbeing

The role involves supporting the development of charitable funds, grant processes, liaising with departments, managing projects, and measuring impact. Additionally, the role includes developing, organizing, and managing voluntary services within the Trust, recruiting, training, and placing volunteers, and establishing policies related to volunteers.

Key responsibilities also include implementing the grants, delivery, and impact strategy aligned with the charity’s overarching goals, building relationships internally and externally, and supporting the Grants, Delivery & Impact Manager in meeting funding targets.

The candidate should role model compassionate and inclusive leadership to foster a culture of collective leadership within the Trust, demonstrating engagement, enabling others, coaching for ownership, and facilitating teamwork across departments.

Our Trust manages hospitals across North Tyneside, Wansbeck, Hexham, and smaller community facilities, covering a large geographical area. We are known for innovation and quality, exemplified by the opening of the Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital—the first of its kind in England.

Would you like to work in one of the best-performing NHS organizations in England, supporting staff and focusing on both staff and patient experience? Enjoy living in an area renowned for clean air, affordable living, vibrant nightlife, excellent schools, and rich history. This is the Northumbria Way!

Please read the ‘Applicant Guidance Notes’ before submitting your application.
