Job Title: HGV TechnicianLocation: Dudley, West MidlandsSalary: £40,000 - 45,000Contract Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: Monday to Friday (flexibility available)About the Company: Our client, a well-established and respected business in the commercial vehicle sector, is currently seeking an experienced and reliable HGV Technician to join their team in the Dudley area. With a strong reputation for quality and service, they offer a supportive work environment and ongoing career development opportunities.The Role: As a key member of the workshop team, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of heavy goods vehicles to the highest standards. This role is ideal for a proactive individual who takes pride in their work and is committed to vehicle safety and compliance.Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out inspections, servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on HGVs
* Prepare vehicles for MOT and ensure compliance with DVSA standards
* Diagnose faults using specialist diagnostic equipment
* Maintain accurate service and repair records
* Liaise with the service team to report on progress and any additional work needed
* Adhere to all health and safety regulations in the workshop
* Support junior team members if required
Candidate Requirements:
* Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
* Previous experience as an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic is essential
* Strong diagnostic skills and knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
* Full UK driving licence (HGV Class 1 or 2 licence desirable)
* Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
* Flexible attitude and willingness to work overtime where needed
