We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Sports Graduate to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Barry as a Teaching Assistant. This role is ideal for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience while using their sporting background to support pupils’ learning, wellbeing, and physical development.
The Role
* Support teachers with classroom activities across the primary age range
* Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning and engagement
* Assist with PE lessons, sports clubs, and outdoor activities
* Promote positive behaviour, teamwork, and confidence
* Support pupils with additional learning needs when required
* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds a degree or a coaching badge in Sport, Sports Science, Physical Education, or a related subject
* Has a genuine interest in working with children
* Is energetic, reliable, and confident communicating with young learners
* Works well as part of a team and shows initiative
* Experience working with children is desirable but not essential
* Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS check
