Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the multidisciplinary team at H aven Way Community Mental Health Team, Pembroke Dock. This is a 37.5 hour post within the Adult Mental Health team, providing excellent opportunity to develop and enhance your clinical skills within the OT framework.
Responsibilities
* Deliver holistic, client‑centred care, focusing on promoting independence and maintaining functional skills.
* Collaborate within the multidisciplinary team to support effective and safe discharge planning for patients.
* Assess, plan and intervene for clients experiencing cognitive loss, with a varied caseload of adults with mental health issues.
* Develop group work skills and deliver evidence‑based interventions such as Recovery Through Activity.
* Maintain positive relationships between all healthcare professionals, statutory and voluntary agencies, ensuring clear communication across all areas.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Specific interest and enthusiasm for Adult Mental Health.
* Experience or knowledge in compliance with the Mental Health Measure Wales, 2010.
* Desirable skill: ability to speak Welsh (English and/or Welsh speakers welcome).
* Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
