Responsibilities
1. Provide technical expertise to lead and deliver electrical infrastructure upgrade projects. This will initially include microgrid and carbon neutral electrical infrastructure upgrades.
2. Project lead from initial feasibility assessment, specification development, tendering, lifecycle cost analysis, supplier nomination and justification, physical phase delivery and internal customer handover.
3. Scope of the Estates and Environmental department covers all utilities, buildings and building services, heating and ventilation, compressed air generation, and renewable energy. You will be responsible for upgrades to the electrical system to support new model and business changes.
4. Management of contractors ensuring safety compliance, co-ordination and quality of work.
5. Complete health and safety plans in accordance with CDM and relevant UK and European health and legislation to and HSE requirements.
6. Working closely with multiple stakeholders
Qualifications
7. Qualified to degree level, experienced Electrical Engineer or Electrical Building Services Engineer.
8. Detailed understanding of medium and low voltage electrical distribution systems and experience in deliver of such projects.
9. Building services knowledge and experience in delivery of installation/upgrade projects.
10. Project management and specification development experience.
11. Management of on-site contractor activities.
