About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers to support pupils across EYFS, KS1 or KS2. You will provide classroom support, deliver small group interventions, and assist individual pupils — including those with additional learning needs.
You will play a key role in helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the delivery of engaging lessons across the primary curriculum
* Provide 1:1 and small group support in literacy, numeracy, and phonics
* Assist with classroom management and pupil engagement
* Support pupils with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) where required
* Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers
* Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and inclusion at all times
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience working with children in a school or educational setting
* Knowledge of the primary curriculum (EYFS / KS1 / KS2)
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable)
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
