Early Years Practitioner – Permanent Role
Location: Highbridge, Somerset
Start: ASAP
Hours: 08:15 – 15:15, Monday to Friday
Pay: £ – £ per hour (Dependant on Pay Type)
Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Years Practitioner to join a warm and nurturing primary school, working as part of their Early Years team on a Long Term/Permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a caring and committed practitioner who is enthusiastic about supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and helping them build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
The Role
1. Supporting children across Nursery/Reception within the school’s Early Years setting
2. Assisting with planning and delivering engaging, play-based learning activities
3. Providing high-quality care in line with EYFS requirements
4. Working collaboratively with the classroom teacher and wider EYFS team
5. Offering 1:1 or group support where required
6. Ensuring a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment for all children
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
7. Level 3 qualification in Early Years/Childcare (or equivalent) – essential
8. Paediatric First Aid certificate – essential
9. Experience working within an Early Years environment
10. A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
11. An enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
12. Right to work in the UK
