About the Role We are looking for an experienced Digital Product Manager to lead on the overarching product strategy for B2C digital products and services to ensure achievement of business and revenue objectives for ED UK and INT. This role will be accountable for the future direction, educational impact, user experience, competitive advantage, operational efficiency and revenue/surplus generation of B2C digital services. You will work in collaboration with key stakeholders across ED UK and INT, throughout the lifecycle of a product, to oversee the product development roadmap and to prioritise product features and business requirements to meet the needs of internal and external customers. Key responsibilities in this role will include: To devise and lead a clear and overarching digital product strategy that delivers long-term pedagogical and commercial success for ED UK and INT. Develop and maintain a product roadmap aligned to user needs and business goals To act as the 'product champion' for ED UK and INT digital services internally and externally, and manage a product and feature roadmap that meets learner needs. To work closely with departmental teams, across product, editorial, sales and marketing functions, to ensure that digital products are clearly positioned and communicated within the ED UK and INT portfolio, so that customers can easily understand the value and purpose of each service. To contribute to wider ED UK and INT digital publishing strategy, through collaboration and participation, and help to establish industry standard best practice in product management and usage and engagement analytics. To monitor the market and competitive landscape, and to seek insight into user needs, to inform product development and functional improvement, as well as to contribute to sales and marketing strategies. To represent the consumer customer within the organisation and be accountable for overall customer experience and satisfaction with B2C digital products. Drive innovation and identify commercial and technical opportunities and threats in the emerging EdTech landscape through researching and monitoring market trends in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and departmental teams. To manage B2C digital products throughout the lifecycle of the product, from strategic planning to tactical operations, including researching and bringing new products to market, leading on-going development of existing services, and overseeing product retirement. To have overall responsibility for maximising customer value and return on investment from digital products. Ensure the seamless integration of content via content tools. To review and prioritise product and business requirements on an on-going basis, working in close collaboration with business partners and product owners in the product delivery teams, in liaison with and on behalf of key stakeholders across ED UK and INT. Define and monitor performance metrics ensuring they reflect the interconnected layers of commercial performance (conversion and LTV), learning impact (outcomes) and product metrics (engagement and habit formation). To act as a bridge between product and technology teams to help align the understanding of business priorities and technology roadmaps. To lead cross-functional project teams and work closely with colleagues from across OUP to deliver and manage B2C digital products and services. To work closely with content, sales and marketing colleagues to understand education and learning needs. We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office. About You To be successful in this role, you will ideally have/be: Proven track record of taking products from concept to launch and scaling usage in a consumer market Proven commercial awareness and understanding of B2C growth levers and meaningful success metrics Proven success in defining and delivering digital and/or blended products Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams Demonstrable understanding of platform data and usage analytics Demonstrable understanding of product design and user experience Demonstrable ability to manage simultaneous projects and priorities Ideally experience of developing customer facing, AI-powered tutoring capabilities Ideally experience in education or educational product development Ideally knowledge of UK schools market, digital learning and EdTech landscape Benefits We care about work/life balance here at OUP.
