Overview
We are looking for a skilled Mechanical Field Service Engineer to join a well-established service team supporting a wide range of workshop and garage equipment, with a particular focus on vehicle lifts and brake testers.
This is a day-based role with no stay-aways and no on-call requirements, making it ideal for those seeking genuine work-life balance. You’ll be working from home and visiting customer sites locally. Travel time is fully paid, and voluntary overtime is available for those who want to boost their earnings.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, repair, and calibrate mechanical workshop equipment, particularly vehicle lifts and brake testers
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective mechanical maintenance
* Work independently on customer sites while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism
* Complete accurate job reports and service documentation
Requirements
* Mechanical engineering or technical background
* Hands-on experience in maintenance, fault finding, and repairs
* Previous experience with garage or workshop equipment (especially lifts or brake testers) is preferred
* Good communication skills with the ability to work independently
* Full UK driving licence
