Medical Requirements Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly known as CESR – Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist Registration) route doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once it has been awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
Posting Details Permanent, part time (24 hours per week) post based in Royal Edinburgh Hospital. Additional part time sessions possible, up to 4 additional sessions with South community teams or medical education sessions.
Team and Support
Team of 4 consultants and 2 Specialist Doctors.
Supported by a full-time Specialty Doctor and a Core Trainee.
Multidisciplinary input from Psychology, Social Work and Discharge Coordinators, Physician Associate and Advanced Nurse Practitioner.
2 WTE Consultants in South Edinburgh Inpatients – this post would be in addition to that.
