We are currently looking for an experienced Control Room Operator to join our friendly team at Dunbar Cement Plant. The role Control Room Operator In the role of Control Room Operator you will be responsible for: Coordinating, monitoring and carrying out raw milling, coal/petcoke milling, cement milling, kiln operations, cement despatch, and laboratory duties required for the production of cement material Meeting the customers quality and environmental output requirements in a safe and cost-effective manner Working flexibly to support plant operations, which run 365 days a year, 24/7. This includes night working, weekends, Bank Holidays and being on call if necessary The ideal candidate will have experience of: Significant relevant experience in cement plant operations or a similar industrial/chemical process environment Experience in raw milling, pyro-processing and laboratory duties Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices Knowledge and understanding of environmental and quality standards associated with the cement manufacturing process or similar chemical/industrial manufacturing Shift work An engineering qualification or a good understanding of mechanical/electrical processes and IOSH (desirable) Why Tarmac We dont just offer a job, we offer a career.
