Your New JobAre you passionate about supporting young people with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs? Hays Education is recruiting for a full-time SEMH Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist school in the Marple area. You’ll work with students aged 11–16 who face barriers to mainstream education due to trauma, behavioural challenges, or additional needs such as autism or ADHD. Your role will involve:
1. Supporting students in small groups and one-to-one settings.
2. Helping pupils regulate emotions and engage with a tailored curriculum.
3. Working closely with teaching staff and external agencies.
4. Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this SEMH Learning Support Assistant role, you should have:
10. Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, or behavioural needs.

12. Excellentmunication and teamwork skills.
13. A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners.
14. A DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Hays.
