Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable Cleaner to join our team. This role involves working closely with individuals in a small mental health care home. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in communal areas and bedrooms, ensuring that all areas are tidy and presentable. This role requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Caring approach is important, as you will interact with service users and other staff members.
Responsibilities
* Perform cleaning duties in residential care home.
* Ensure all cleaning supplies are stocked and report any shortages to management.
* Follow established cleaning protocols and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
* Communicate effectively with service users and other staff members.
* Complete relevant training
Qualifications and Skills
* Previous experience in a cleaning role is preferred but not essential; training will be provided.
* Good communication and cleaning skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
* Empathy and patience when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with varying needs.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility in approach.
* Basic understanding of health and safety and infection control regulations related to cleaning work is beneficial.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 16 hours per week, with a 9:30 am start each morning. Hours are flexible and can be negotiated during the interview.
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.21 per hour
