We are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Catering Assistant to join our team, working on Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 to 18:30 each day.
Pay: £12.21 (Monday to Friday), £13.21 (Saturday and Sunday)
Responsibilities:
1. Preparation and maintenance of dining and service areas, including setting up furniture, trolleys, and cleaning equipment.
2. Ensuring adherence to health and safety standards.
3. Serving food in correct portions and washing dishes, cutlery, and catering equipment.
4. Taking menu selections from patients.
5. Daily cleaning of all catering areas.
6. Supporting the chef in the main kitchen with food preparation.
7. Providing excellent customer service and communicating effectively with patients, managers, and colleagues.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Previous catering experience in a similar environment is desirable.
* Basic Food Hygiene and Health and Safety certificates are desirable but not essential; comprehensive training will be provided.
* Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills.
* A passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Adaptability, attention to detail, and willingness to take on various tasks.
* Hardworking, confident demeanor, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
