We are looking for a Executive to join our Commercial Recoveries team in the High Wycombe office.
NB: This job description is not to be regarded as exhaustive. There may be other duties and requirements associated with the position and in addition, as a term of employment, staff may be required to undertake other duties as may reasonably be required of them. They may also, from time to time, be required to use their cars on firm’s business.
Main purposes of role (not exhaustive)
* Experienced debt recovery specialist, Legal Executive or Paralegal within our Commercial Recoveries department – preferably with contacts.
* Experience in confidently handling fast paced and highly demanding clients.
* Technical expertise and knowledge including strong command of debt recovery procedures to include issuing letters before action, issue of Court proceedings, enforcement of Judgments and insolvency procedures.
* Adept at working with other departments such as litigation. Cross referral skills.
* Ability to work closely with management and handle both their own case load.
* Ability to negotiate.
* In their personal fee earning work billings in accordance with set targets, other than where exceptional circumstances apply.
* Perform fee earning work accurately, reliably and in accordance with the firm’s quality and risk management procedures.
* Flexibility, dealing with a number of matters at any given time.
* Ensure proper control of work in progress, billing and cash collection.
* Be effective in developing new work from existing clients and seek new clients for themselves and others. Will develop and support marketing initiatives.
* Maintain and nurture an appropriate network of contacts and referrers and endeavour to promote the firm in their professional and personal lives.
* Gain or maintain IT skills appropriate to modern legal practice, experience of Fathom beneficial but training will be given.
* Proficient at fee recording and administration.
* Travel to other offices and client sites may be required.
