GSL Education are seeking a reliable Cover Supervisor to work with schools in Sheffield, ensuring lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher and supporting students to stay focused and engaged. As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise whole classes using pre-prepared lesson materials, maintain positive behaviour, and help students complete tasks in a structured and supportive environment. Main Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absence using provided lesson plans. Maintain positive behaviour and classroom discipline in line with school policies. Ensure students complete work set and remain on task. Provide clear instructions and support where required. Report back to teaching staff on student progress and behaviour. Requirements of Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working in a school or educational setting is desirable. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Confidence in leading a class independently. A proactive and reliable approach to work. A commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
