The Best Connection is recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) Container Drivers for an established client based in Portsmouth. This is ongoing ad-hoc work with regular weekday shifts and weekend work available.
Location: Portsmouth
Hours: 06:00 - 17:00, Monday to Sunday availability
* Varying start times depending on route
Pay Rates: £16.50 - £24.75 p/h PAYE | £18.00 p/h Umbrella
The Role
* Driving a Class 1 (C+E) HGV container vehicle
* Delivering and collecting containers from docks and customer sites
* Entering and exiting ports and dock environments
* DP World dock work (certificate required)
* Completing vehicle checks and reporting any issues
* Maintaining good communication with the transport team
Requirements
* Full UK Class 1 (C+E) Licence
* CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
* Valid DP World Card
* Previous container and dock experience
* Good numeracy, literacy, and communication skills
