Role Overview:As a Social Worker in the Children in Care Team, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of children who are subject to Care Proceedings and Adoption processes. You will work collaboratively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure the safety, well-being, and permanency of children in care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct assessments and formulate care plans for children subject to Care Proceedings and Adoption processes.
* Provide support and interventions to children and families to address identified needs and risks.
* Work collaboratively with legal professionals, courts, and other agencies involved in Care Proceedings and Adoption processes.
* Prepare reports and attend court hearings and meetings as required.
* Facilitate contact between children and their families, ensuring that the child's best interests are prioritized.
* Monitor the progress of children in care, regularly reviewing and adjusting care plans as necessary.
* Provide support and guidance to colleagues and contribute to the development of best practice within the team.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Social Worker with relevant professional registration (HCPC).
2. Previous experience working with children and families in a statutory social work setting.
