We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated,enthusiastic, and flexible GP to join our well-organised, friendly team andhelp shape the future of our Practice.
We are looking for a GP to cover 6-8 sessions per week whichwill include some duty days and home visits.
We are happy to be flexible for the right candidate.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to undertake all the usual duties and responsibilities associated with working in Primary care including but limited to:
* Provide consultations during clinics, dealing with a wide range of health needs
* 15-minute appointments, 10 appointments per session
* Participate in duty doctor.
* e-Consult total triage.
* Provide appropriate clinical care, management, and referrals
* Use EMIS Web for all patient records and administration
* Complete relevant medical documentation, including reports, referrals, prescriptions
* Collaborate effectively not only with the team but the wider community staff.
* Contribute to the continued development of the PCN and multidisciplinary working
* Supervise and support learners.

Hetton Group Practice is a large practice with a growing list of >11700 patients working from a spacious purpose-built premises. The team consists of:
* 5 GP partners,1 Salaried GP and 1 Career Start GP.
* Full nursing team including an Advanced Clinical Practitioner, an Advanced NursePractitioner, two Practice Nurses, 3 HCA's all of whom are supported by our admin team.
We are a friendly and supportive training practice for Registrars and Medical Students and offer excellent support for professional development. We support specialist interests, further training, and career progression.
We are a member of the Coalfields PCN, and we work closely with our five member practices to deliver services to patients across the Coalfields area.
We have representation on Sunderland Local Medical Committee.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* GMC registration and inclusion on GP Register.
* On NHS England Medical Performers List.
* RGCP Membership.
* Full UK driving licence
* Previous experience in Emis Web.
* Previous experience of Total Triage.
* Familiarity of QOF and Enhanced Services.
