GSL Education are seeking a committed 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant to work within a supportive school in Derby. As a 1:1 SEND TA, this role involves working closely with one pupil, providing personalised assistance to meet their academic, emotional, and social needs. Responsibilities as a 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant: Provide one-to-one support to a pupil with specific SEND requirements. Assist in delivering individualised learning plans in collaboration with the class teacher and SENCO. Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being. Adapt learning resources and activities to suit the pupil’s needs. Support the pupil in building confidence, independence, and essential skills. Requirements for 1:1 SEND Teaching Assistant: Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 setting. A caring, patient, and adaptable approach. Strong communication skills to work effectively with staff, parents, and external professionals. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
