Finance Assistant / Finance Technician

Salary: £30-£35,000

The Opportunity
An established and growing organisation within the manufacturing sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Assistant / Finance Technician to join its finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to take ownership of core finance processes while supporting wider business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Finance Manager with -
o Month-end processes
o Cashflow forecasting
o Annual budgeting
* Assist with external audits
* Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
* Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
* Carry out credit control activities and maintain strong customer relationships
* Perform bank reconciliations and oversee petty cash
* Reconcile stock ledger with the general ledger
* Produce and manage VAT returns, Intrastat, EC sales reports, and excise duties
* Maintain accruals and prepayments
* Manage fixed assets and depreciation schedules
* Review and process monthly expenses
