SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant – Harrow

Contract: Full-time, long-term
Pay: £100 – £110 per day
Are you a compassionate, proactive, and patient Teaching Assistant looking to make a real difference in a child’s school experience?
A welcoming and inclusive Primary School in Harrow is seeking an experienced SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team as soon as possible. This role will see you working closely with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs, providing tailored support to help them achieve their full potential both academically and socially.
The Role:
1. Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs (e.g., ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language difficulties)
2. Support the class teacher in delivering personalised learning strategies
3. Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in lessons and activities
4. Monitor and record progress, liaising with the SENCo and parents as required
5. Foster an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment
The Candidate:
6. Experience supporting children with SEN (in school or similar settings)
7. Patient, empathetic, and positive approach to behaviour management
8. Able to build trusting relationships and adapt to pupil needs
9. Available full-time and able to commit to the rest of the academic year
