Electrical Technician
Location: Hull, HU3 2JZ
Core Hours: Monday - Friday, 08:00 to 16:00

We are currently seeking a professional Electrical Technician to undertake planned and reactive maintenance at our client premises, Hull Women & Children's Hospital.
The post holder should be hardworking and committed to ensuring the highest standards are maintained at all times. Professional interaction with our client is required.
Responsibilities include:
1. Legislative PPM tasks including emergency luminaire inspection, testing, and repair.
2. Conduct reactive maintenance on various plant and equipment as directed by the Technical Supervisor or Management.
3. Fault diagnosis and solution identification/implementation.
4. Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, diagnosing faults and initiating actions to prevent environmental deterioration.
5. Maintain up-to-date records of all work on plant and equipment, both in hard copy files and electronically.
6. Provide emergency call-out coverage on a rota basis (1 in 4 weeks).
7. Operate the contract proactively to minimize difficulties with building environmental systems.
8. Ensure effective communication with the client and the company, keeping all parties informed.
9. Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers to ensure efficient operation without disruption.
Ideal Candidate:
* City and Guilds or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering.
* BS7671 - 18th Edition, plus other formal electrical qualifications such as 2391 (desirable).
* Evidence of multi-skilled training.
* Good fault finding and problem-solving skills.
* Valid UK Driving Licence.
* Knowledge and experience of building services systems and maintenance management.
* Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
* Intermediate computer skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Experience with BMS systems.
* Experience in hospital environments or facilities management is desirable.
You will need to have prior experience in a similar role. The position is 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility to ensure high service levels. Access to Apleona employee benefits will be available from the start.
