About The Role
Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a Fleet Technician to maintain and oversee the Landside Transport Fleet, consisting of: 42 artics, 43 x trailers, 1 x 18t, 1 x 7.5t and 1 x van. You will be conducting running repairs, liaising with outside vendors, maintaining online defect portal and ensuring a high level of compliance and roadworthiness at all times.
Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be (but not limited to):
1. You will be fully competent in all aspects of the service and repair of Heavy Goods Vehicles and trailers to the highest of standards
2. Diagnose and rectify all types of faults
3. Ensure Health and Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered to
4. All Defect, service sheets and online portals completed and updated on time
5. Be able to liaise effectively with staff at all levels and vendors / suppliers
6. Attend roadside breakdowns for our own fleet if the need dictates
About You
To be successfully considered for this role you will need:
7. Previous experience working as an HGV and Trailer Mechanic/Technician
8. Fluent in roadworthiness and MOT testing standards
9. Experience of hydraulic systems(advantage)
10. IT literate must be able to use email, Microsoft office suite and have experience of using online portals / platforms
11. Experience of diagnostic equipment preferred
12. You will have a positive "can do" attitude and be able to work as part of a team
13. Minimum of NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
14. Current HGV licence required – C+E (Mandatory)
15. Class 1 Driving License (required)
