About the Company

Anns Home Care is recruiting a full-time, as and when Team Leader to join our busy Home Care Team in Belfast. The successful candidate will work as part of a team responsible for providing high-quality services to clients in their own homes by monitoring the quality of care. Flexibility to work unsociable hours if required is essential.

Anns Home Care is a family-run agency with 25 years of experience in delivering and managing home care services. Our Care Assistants are at the heart of what we do, delivering frontline care to those in need. Working in the community, they support elderly and vulnerable individuals with daily activities, helping them live as independently as possible.

Key Requirements

1. Minimum of 3 years' experience in healthcare
2. Education to NVQ Level 2
3. Access to a car and a full driving license
4. Excellent organizational and time management skills
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
7. Empathy and understanding towards clients and their families
8. Leadership, support, and supervision skills


Key Tasks and Duties

1. Maintain high standards of care, professionalism, and presentation by example
2. Participate in and supervise care delivery to meet clients' physical, social, intellectual, and emotional needs, respecting dignity, choice, and independence
3. Promote best practices and accountability through spot checks and staff supervisions
4. Monitor the quality of care provided to clients
5. Prepare, implement, review, and update client care plans
6. Maintain confidentiality at all times
7. Uphold professional standards amongst carers and promote company values
8. Keep accurate and confidential records per company policy
9. Conduct risk assessments in clients' homes as needed
10. Assist in implementing new care packages, ensuring care plans are placed within two days of acceptance, and carers are introduced and shadowed
11. Assist in the induction and training of new care workers
12. Provide reports on complaints, accidents, and incidents in clients' homes
13. Support rota management by providing relevant information on start times and scheduling
14. Participate in the company's Quality Control program
15. Undertake shift cover activities as required
