Are you a Health & Safety Manager looking to play a key role in one of the UK’s most important renewable energy projects?
This is a rare opportunity to join a major infrastructure scheme from an early stage, helping shape a site, a culture, and a legacy that supports Britain’s transition to Net Zero.
We’re looking for a confident, experienced H&S manager with a strong background in major infrastructure delivery.
The Role
You'll be managing all health and safety aspects of a large-scale, complex infrastructure project on renewable energy projects.
This will involve significant earthworks, new access roads, reinforced concrete structures and steel-framed superstructures forming a critical part of the future National Grid.
Joining the project at a pivotal moment, you’ll report to the Project Director and take ownership of all Health & Safety performance on-site.
What you’ll be doing
* Drive a proactive, prevention-focused Health & Safety culture across the project
* Ensure full compliance with legislation, OHSAS 18001 obligations and all minimum standards
* Lead the site audit process and address issues quickly and effectively
* Prepare, review and maintain the Construction Phase Health & Safety Plan
* Introduce initiatives that raise standards and improve day-to-day site safety
* Support pre-construction teams with tenders and PQQ submissions where required
* Run weekly inspections and ensure visibility of Health & Safety across all levels of the project team
About you
* Previous experience as a Health & Safety Manager on large, complex projects
* Tier 1 contracting background within a highly regulated environment
* Degree or equivalent in a construction-related field
* NEBOSH and/or IOSH qualifications
Package
* Salary up to £75,000
* £5,000 car allowance
* Ipswich based - with some flexibility to work from home
