We are working with a listed technology company to recruit a legal counsel to join its global legal team.
Based in the UK, you will report to a Senior Legal Counsel based in Australia, to support the business on a broad range of corporate, commercial and governance matters globally.
Key Responsibilities
* Advising various departments and stakeholders in the UK, EMEA and AMERS on a broad range of matters.
* Advising on, and managing, SiteMinder’s real property interests in the UK, EMEA and AMERS.
* Providing company secretarial support in various jurisdictions.
* Monitoring and assessing supply chain compliance with applicable sanctions regulations.
* Monitoring and advising on regulatory developments in the UK, EMEA and AMERS and providing clear, actionable advice to the business.
* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements with partners, suppliers, and customers
About You
* Bachelor of Laws (or equivalent) and a current practising certificate.
* 5-8 years PQE at a reputable law firm and/or in-house at a global corporation.
* Broad corporate/ commercial skill set.
* Must be a self starter with high energy and a proven ability to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
* Team player and comfortable working with clients and colleagues across a range of jurisdictions.
* Excellent relationship management skills, with the ability to interact effectively and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the business, along with external advisors.
* Passionate about innovation and emerging digital technology.
* Comfortable hitting the ground running in fast paced scale-up environments.
* Experience working with AI technologies to increase efficiency in legal operations.
* Excellent written and oral communication skills.
* Comfortable with working across time zones.
* Spanish language skills and/or Spanish legal qualification would be highly regarded.
