Key Requirements
1. Full, clean UK driving licence (or working towards obtaining one)
2. Willingness to learn and follow technical procedures
3. Good communication skills and a professional approach
4. Ability to work safely and responsibly in a workshop setting
5. Basic IT skills (Microsoft Office and data entry)
6. Positive attitude and strong work ethic
7. Flexible approach to working hours and tasks
8. Previous workshop or logistics experience is a bonus, but not essential
About the Opportunity
As a Trainee Cylinder Workshop Technician, you’ll receive full training and support to develop your skills in handling, testing, and preparing cylinders for dispatch. You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues to learn the ropes and gradually take on more responsibility. This is a fantastic opportunity to start a career in a technical field with a global company that values safety, quality, and development.
Key Activities
9. Assist with cleaning, leak-testing, and handling cylinders
10. Learn to safely load, offload, and store cylinders with accurate tracking
11. Support the preparation of dispatch documentation and deliveries
12. Help carry out minor repairs and report maintenance needs
13. Monitor certification status and assist with re-certification processes
14. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment
15. Learn to manage spare parts stock and support efficient repairs
16. Deliver excellent customer service and support client needs
17. Contribute ideas for improving processes and services
18. Follow all QHSE standards, including ISO and COSHH requirements
