Role DescriptionA forward thinking Accountancy firm in Sheffield is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to support the Corporate Accounts team in providing quality professional advice to our customers.You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional audit service.This is a varied role, and responsibilities will include planning and leading audits, undertaking testing, reviewing work, and supporting and delegating to others. It is the ideal role for those looking for progression within an ever-growing team, who want to enjoy their job in a bright and challenging environment.Remit:Audit
* Leading audits from planning through to completion, for a range of clients including SMEs and groups.
* Preparing audit planning documentation and ensuring work is delivered in line with agreed timescales.
* Supervising junior team members during audit fieldwork and reviewing their work.
* Acting as the main point of contact for clients during onsite assignments.
* Liaising with managers and partners to ensure risk management and compliance standards are upheld.
Accounts & Other
* Preparation of year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
* Preparation of corporation tax computations and liaising with tax specialists where needed.
* Reviewing bookkeeping and VAT returns completed by junior staff.
Qualifications:
* Finalist or preferably fully qualified ACCA or ACA
* Minimum 3 years’ experience working within a Practice Background
* Good results from GCSE’s/further study – to have shown genuine commitment to completion of studies to a high grade
