Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Tuesday - Saturday | 13:00 - 21:30
We're supporting a large UK retail and e-commerce logistics operation in the search for an Assistant Site Manager to join their high-volume transport operation in Rotherham.
This role sits within a major distribution network supplying hundreds of retail stores while supporting a rapidly growing online business, operating within a highly automated and fast-paced logistics environment.
The Role
Working closely with the Site Manager, you will support the day-to-day leadership of a busy transport operation, ensuring operational efficiency, safety, and compliance standards are consistently achieved.
Key responsibilities include:
* Supporting the daily management of a large transport operation
* Leading and coaching team managers and operational teams
* Monitoring KPIs, performance and operational efficiency
* Ensuring full compliance with transport legislation and operator licence requirements
* Driving a strong safety culture and high operational standards
* Identifying and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
* Analysing performance and responding quickly to operational challenges
About You:
* Strong experience within transport or logistics operations
* Proven people leadership and team management skills
* CPC in Transport Management
* Experience working in high-volume logistics or distribution environments
* The ability to drive performance while building a positive working culture
