TXM Recruit are proud to be supporting our client, a leading transport and passenger services business, in their search for an entrepreneurial and commercially driven Commercial Manager to lead their operations across the London Heathrow region. This is a unique opportunity for a commercially minded individual looking to make a real impact — with the client’s clear intention for this person to progress into a Managing Director role within the next few years.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you’ll take ownership of the commercial function across a range of services including corporate transfers, airport transport, hotel connections, and public bus networks. Your focus will be on driving growth through account management, commercial development, and securing new business.
You’ll lead key client relationships — particularly with airlines and hotel partners — ensuring service excellence, resolving operational issues, and identifying opportunities to expand commercial performance.
Key Responsibilities
Lead commercial growth planning, forecasting, and revenue delivery across multiple business streams.
Manage and develop key accounts, including airlines, hotels, and local authorities.
Drive service quality, customer satisfaction, and complaint resolution.
Develop pricing, ticketing, and tender strategies to maximise profitability.
Oversee contract renewals and identify new revenue opportunities.
Liaise closely with depot, operations, and engineering teams to ensure consistent service delivery.
Produce regular reports on sales, revenue, and commercial performance.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and health & safety regulations.About You
You’ll be a proactive and results-oriented professional with strong commercial acumen and a track record of growing revenue in a transport, logistics, or passenger services environment.
Essential skills & experience:
Previous experience in a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager, or Network/Operations Management role.
Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
Strong understanding of route costing, scheduling, and data analysis.
Proven ability to identify and capitalise on commercial opportunities.
Effective communication and IT skills.
Flexibility to work occasional anti-social hours or weekends to meet business needs.
A valid CPC in Passenger Transport (or willingness to obtain within year one).
