We are currently working in partnership with a Housing Association based in Portishead, who are recruiting for a Damp and Mould Surveyor on a permanent.The position is due to start immediately, with the potential to go full time. The hourly rate of pay for the role is between £35-40 per hour.The role will focus on managing damp, mould, and condensation cases across a residential housing portfolio, carrying out property inspections, identifying building defects, diagnosing root causes, and specifying remedial works.Duties will include (but are not limited to): Undertaking damp, mould, and condensation inspections across occupied propertiesDiagnosing building defects and identifying appropriate remedial solutionsProducing detailed reports, specifications, and schedules of worksManaging cases from initial inspection through to completion of worksLiaising with residents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure effective service deliveryMonitoring contractor performance, quality of works, and compliance standardsSupporting disrepair and HHSRS-related case management where requiredEnsuring accurate record keeping and compliance documentation is maintainedExperience required:Experience required in Social HousingExperience carrying out damp and mould surveys Experience identifying the root cause of Damp and MouldWorking hours:37.5 hours per weekMonday - Friday, (Flexible daily hours)Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
