We're partnering with a fast-growing, entrepreneurial business that is entering an exciting phase of development and is now seeking an experienced finance professional to join on an initial six-month contract. Reporting directly to the owners, this is a broad and highly visible role that combines hands-on financial management with genuine commercial influence and financial stewardship. For the right individual, this presents an opportunity to make a meaningful impact, helping shape decision-making, improve visibility of performance and support the continued growth of the business. Responsibilities: You'll take ownership of the finance function whilst acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, providing clear financial insight and helping guide strategic decision-making. Responsibilities are expected to include: Production and presentation of monthly management accounts Budgeting, forecasting and cashflow management Financial analysis and performance reporting Providing commercial insight and financial support to the owners Overseeing payroll processes across both permanent and temporary sides of the business Managing balance sheet reconciliations and month-end activities Ensuring robust financial controls and governance Supporting external accountants, auditors and advisers where required Driving process improvements and identifying operational efficiencies Supporting wider business initiatives and growth plans This is very much a role for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves whilst maintaining a strategic and commercial perspective. It is likely to appeal to a current Finance Manager, Financial Controller or Head of Finance who enjoys operating in an SME environment where no two days are the same. About You: We're keen to speak with commercially minded finance professionals who enjoy operating within dynamic SME environments.
