Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Nurse (adult) with current NMC registration
2. Degree in nursing
Desirable criteria
3. evidence of ongoing development related to subject
4. teaching/assessment qualification
Knowledge
Essential criteria
5. understanding of gynaecological cancers
6. knowledge of lynch syndrome
Desirable criteria
7. knowledge of genetics in oncology
Technical Skills and competences
Essential criteria
8. Ability to deliver high quality assessments, telephone triage, safety net advice and symptom management
9. strong communication skills
10. ability to support patients through decision making, uncertainty and psychological distress

Experience
Essential criteria
13. Significant post registration experience in cancer care, gynaecology or related acute speciality
14. Experience providing complex patient support, information and holistic assessment.
15. Experience with the delivery of SACT treatments, and their related management of side effects

16. Previous experience working as a CNS
17. Experience in hereditary cancer syndromes or genetic counselling pathways
18. Experience of managing case loads
