Description

Overall Role Purpose

The Senior HRIS Transformation Lead helps people with sight loss to live the life they choose by designing, configuring, implementing and leading the HR system upgrade and migration. Ensuring it is adopted effectively within HR and across the organisation as a whole, supporting process improvement, the digital transformation journey and ease of HR information reaching our colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
• HRIS Migration:
Successfully manage the end-to-end migration of the HRIS system from the legacy platform to the new solution, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and adherence to project timelines.
• Process Optimisation:
Evaluate and improve HR processes to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the new HRIS, tailoring solutions to meet the needs of managers, colleagues, and the HR team.
• Enhanced User Experience:
Design and implement a frictionless user experience that ensures intuitive navigation, seamless access to HR information, and improved usability across the organisation.
• Transformation of HR Information and Guidance:
Redefine the organisation’s approach to transactional HR information and guidance, creating a user-centric offering that aligns with best practices and meets the needs of the workforce.
• HR Leadership:
As a member of the People Leadership Senior Team, reporting directly to the HR Director, you will have strategic influence and be expected to contribute to cross-functional actions and plans that align with organisational goals and drive collective success. You will need to lead and inspire others within the HR team, encouraging a forward-thinking mindset to explore the art of the possible, driving a vision for a more efficient and effective future in HR.

In order to ensure a successful implementation and maximise the functionality of the new HRIS. The key responsibilities for this role are to:

Project Management:
• Lead the implementation project, managing timelines, resources, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across various teams (HR, IT, external vendors) to ensure smooth execution.
• Ensure the project stays on track, within budget, and meets organisational goals.
System Configuration and Customisation:
• Work with HR and IT teams to configure the HRIS according to the Guide Dogs needs and processes.
• Customise the system for specific functionalities, such as payroll, employee management and reporting.
Data Migration and Integration:
• Ensure proper data integrity and integration with other systems
Stakeholder Communication and Training:
• Act as the primary point of contact for HR, IT, and other relevant departments.
• Provide training for HR staff and system users to ensure proper usage and adoption of the improved HRIS.
• Address concerns or issues raised by employees and management during the implementation.
Testing and Quality Assurance:
• Conduct thorough testing of the HRIS to ensure it functions as expected.
• Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the implementation process.
Change Management:
• Manage change effectively by helping staff adapt to the new system.
• Promote the benefits of the HRIS to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders.
• Upskill and transfer of knowledge to the HR Team
Post-Implementation Support:
• Provide ongoing support and maintenance to resolve any post-launch issues.
• Gather feedback and make necessary adjustments to optimize the HRIS performance.
