Purpose The role of the senior marketing executive is to plan, execute and deliver marketing campaigns to help build awareness of Connolly and strengthen our reputation as a trusted and respected building contractor for social housing companies. The person in this role will also manage a lot of internal communications, designed to improve employee engagement. You will act as brand champion across the business, building rapport with other departments and helping to establish a best in class marketing function. Reports to Head of brand and marketing communications Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities Take responsibility for the social media content plan, helping to gather stories from around the business, schedule and create posts to drive engagement and understand the different tone & angles required for different platforms, currently LinkedIn, Facebook and Instagram, but likely to expand to include You Tube and TikTok Create internal communications campaigns to help keep colleagues updated and enthused about changes and news at Connolly. Currently includes intranet posts, emails and posters but could expand to WhatsApp and newsletters Regularly maintain and update the Connolly website Work with external agencies to produce sales collateral for business development and customer teams, such as digital brochures, case studies, information leaflets etc. Act as brand champion, ensuring all marketing communications are consistent, on brand and of high quality Support the development of the marketing strategy, suggesting new ideas for testing, keeping an eye on competitor activity and trends within the building contractor and social housing sectors Report on the performance of campaigns, monitoring effectiveness, repeating what works and proactively suggesting ideas for improving performance Keep abreast of new technologies, platforms or software that could help improve the customer experience or drive efficiencies. This will include integrating AI tools into marketing processes Ensure marketing assets are filed centrally, to be accessible by defined groups and kept updated What you'll need Excellent written and verbal communication skills – ability to develop compelling messaging in different formats, adapt tone for different audiences whilst remaining on brand and zero tolerance for typos Reasonably proficient in using either Canva, InDesign or other creative toolkits to create simple graphics following brand guidelines Microsoft 365 native, with experience of having branded and managed Sharepoint and other apps from a marketing perspective Experience of working with creative agencies, with emphasis on strong creative briefs, good project management skills and ability to assess creative concepts dispassionately A proven track record of successfully managing social media campaigns in a B2B environment, especially LinkedIn and Facebook Experience using social media scheduling tools eg Hootsuite, Sprout Social Experience of managing website CMS eg Wordpress or similar to a standard of being able to create reasonably complex new pages Exposure to building an employer brand, liaising closely with HR/People teams to improve employee engagement scores and recruitment processes Creative flair, customer-centric, asks loads of questions, great attention to detail, well organised
