We are seeking a skilled and proactive Mobile Electrical Engineer to deliver high-quality planned and reactive maintenance across sites in the Leicester, Nottingham and Derby areas.
This role is key to ensuring electrical systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with contractual standards.
Job Description
We are looking for an engineer with a strong background in FM or maintenance environments, who can take ownership of electrical tasks while also supporting wider building services maintenance.
A professional, customer-focused approach is essential, along with strong fault-finding abilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver electrical PPM, proactive and reactive maintenance within required timeframes.
* Support wider building services tasks, including fabric, HVAC, mechanical and related works.
* Provide callout support in line with the client rota.
* Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
* Ensure all electrical equipment operates to required performance and compliance standards.
* Maintain clean, safe, and compliant work areas in line with company expectations.
* Build positive client relationships, addressing concerns or escalating where necessary.
* Complete all administration tasks accurately and on time, maintaining essential records.
* Ensure full compliance with H&S, risk assessments, COSHH and company processes.
Professional and Personal Competencies / Qualifications
* FM/Maintenance background preferred.
* Strong experience in electrical installations and fault finding (reactive tasks particularly important).
* City & Guilds 2365, 2357 Level 3 and NVQ 2356 AM2.
* City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation + NVQ 2356 + AM2.
* City & Guilds 236/2360 Parts 1 & 2.
* City & Guilds 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671:2018), ideally with Amendment 2.
* City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/5 Inspection & Testing.
* Full UK driving licence for mobile travel.
