Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a talented Transport Operator to join us on a temporary, 6 month fixed term basis, working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern covering the Night shift. This is for our contract based in Thurrock.

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £28,500 plus a night shift allowance of £2,400 per annum.

What you’ll do on a typical day:
* Prepare work for our customer and pre-brief drivers at the Start of shift.
* Co-ordinate the transport operations on site to meet both customer and company expectations.
* Liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of Customer vehicles / subcontractors minimising the cost impact to the business.
* Daily Report of customer KPIs and volume calculations.
* Execute customers plan and make changes where necessary to limit stock outs.
* Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are logged and communicated to management and customer in a timely manner.
* First line of communication for the driver workforce.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
* A good understanding of fast-paced transport teams.
* Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders.
* Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook.
