The Department of Psychology at Lancaster University is currently seeking to recruit a Senior Lecturer or Lecturer in Neuroscience.
This is one of three strategic appointments to develop and enhance research and teaching in our growing Department.
The Department of Psychology at Lancaster University has a core complement of over 40 academic staff members and a vibrant community of post-doctoral researchers and PhD students across four research areas: Developmental Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Neuroscience and Neurocognition, and Social Processes. In the Psychology Department, we conduct world-leading research to elucidate neurocognitive, behavioral, and perceptual processes across the lifespan, in neurotypical and clinical populations. We focus on how such processes function both individually and during social interactions ('brain-to-brain').
Our research environment includes advanced technologies such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation, Multi-channel Transcranial electrical brain stimulation, EEG setups, functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy, eye-trackers, motion tracking, Virtual Reality Suites, Computational Neuroscience facilities, Biophysics, sound-proof Auditory laboratories, polysomnography, and functional Transcranial Doppler. Equipment is shared across research groups to foster innovation.
