Overview
You will be responsible for managing preparation and production of food to ensure minimal wastage while maintaining high levels of taste and quality. Maintain food hygiene levels and manage stock levels and stock rotations. A day in the life of a Chef de Partie
Cooking and preparing food for breakfast, lunch and dinner services with minimal wastage. Following recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals. Assisting with deliveries and stock checks, placing food orders, and maintaining kitchen records. Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries. Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence. Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans. Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries.
Responsibilities
* Follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals.
* Assist with deliveries and stock checks, place food orders, and maintain kitchen records.
* Monitor and record temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets, and serveries; complete daily due diligence paperwork.
* Assist in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans.
* Share responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries.
Qualifications and Eligibility
* Food hygiene certificate level 2 or willingness to work towards it on our e-learning platform.
* Relevant culinary qualification is desirable; there is an opportunity to gain a qualification while you earn.
* Previous experience of working in a kitchen.
* Proficient level of spoken English.
* Security clearance and a DBS check is required.

Benefits and Terms
This is a full-time position, £12.87/hour, 40 hours per week, with a shift pattern of Monday to Friday with 1 in 4 weekends. Shifts range between 07:00 and 20:30, leaving your evenings free.
