Shift pattern: Rotating shift patterns Closing date: 18 June 2025 Recruitment Partner: Matt Haywood - matt.haywood@boots.co.uk About the role An opportunity has arisen to become part of the Control Room Team within the Store Service Centre. Your role as Assistant Control Room Manager will be to manage the Witron system ensuring KPIs are met to complete the day's workload and support all areas of the warehouse with a customer focused approach. To ensure MHRA and auditing standards are met and work within health and safety regulations. Sustain a strong relationship with all areas including senior management and engineering teams and communicate at a high standard and deliver Continuous Improvement Projects in a timely manner. Key responsibilities Release and control of work to all areas of the SSC and work to KPI's and ensure that targets are met. Monitor the automation and flows, delivering great customer care by controlling throughput ensuring fulfilment levels are met. Communicating technical faults to Engineers where required and escalate any potential loss to the management team and analysing data to identify a route cause. Ensure all issues affecting the site are logged and escalated accordingly through to resolution making key decisions to keep the warehouse running efficiently. Carry out daily checks to ensure products are in the correct areas to avoid missing an order, minimizing any impact on Stores, driving service levels. What you'll need to have Preference of Control Room/Systems experience would be desirable but not essential. Enjoy a fast paced and high-pressure environment. Calm under pressure being able to work productively in a busy and dynamic environment remaining focused and effective. High technical competence with a good ability to learn new information and skills. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with co-workers & customers. Awareness and concern for your customer with the ability to 'think on your feet' and make sound decisions based on rational logic. An understanding of end-to-end warehousing and automation is desirable but not essential, as various levels of training will be provided.
