The Opportunity
An established and progressive food manufacturing business is seeking a Technical Services Manager to take ownership of its technical services and customer-facing compliance activities. This role is central to ensuring accurate product information, effective customer communication, and high technical standards across the business.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the technical services function, ensuring timely and accurate responses to customer technical queries.
* Oversee the creation, approval, and maintenance of product specifications, allergen data, nutritional information, and labelling content.
* Ensure technical documentation remains compliant, current, and aligned with legislation, retailer codes of practice, and customer requirements.
* Manage and enhance specification systems, strengthening data integrity, version control, and audit readiness.
* Provide technical support for product development activity, customer visits, and external audits.
* Identify opportunities to improve technical service processes and support the development of internal technical knowledge through training and guidance.
About You
* Educated to degree level in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related subject.
* At least three years’ experience in a technical services, specifications, or compliance role within food manufacturing.
* Confident working with specification management systems and technical databases.
* Highly organised with a strong eye for detail and the ability to communicate clearly with both internal teams and external customers.
